First Aid - EFR Course in Phuket
Half day training at the dive center - 5000 baht
The Emergency First Response - EFR medical assistance program was developed based on the standards of the international committee ILCOR and in accordance with modern requirements for the procedure for providing assistance to people in need.
All instructors at our ACDC Diving Phuket dive center are also EFR First Aid instructors and will conduct this program for you in Russian.
The courses available under this program can be taken by anyone, regardless of whether they are a diver or not. There are no age restrictions.
The benefits of the EFR course and the flexibility of the program have already been appreciated by employees of firms and companies where first aid skills are mandatory (service workers, teachers, educators, instructors in various sports, fitness), parents, and of course divers.

EFR Course Structure
The Emergency First Response program provides two courses - EFR Primary Care - CPR (primary care in an emergency - cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and EFR Secondary Care - First Aid (secondary care in an emergency - first aid).
As part of the EFR Primary Care - CPR course, you will learn to provide emergency care in life-threatening situations. You'll learn eight skills that will help you deal with the following situations: cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, severe bleeding, shock, and spinal cord injury. You will learn to monitor the vital functions of the victim and become familiar with the main stages of primary care.
As part of the EFR Secondary Care - First Aid course, you will learn how to provide assistance in situations where there is no immediate threat to the victim's life. Here you will learn what to do if emergency medical services cannot arrive or are delayed.
As part of the EFR Secondary Care - First Aid course, you will learn how to provide assistance in situations where there is no immediate threat to the victim's life. Here you will learn what to do if emergency medical services cannot arrive or are delayed.
You can take both courses at once or master one first and then sign up for the other.
The program includes a number of elective skills (such as using an automated external defibrillator and administering oxygen to assist) that you will learn only if necessary.
Materials for the EFR course
Having a detailed textbook for students on the EFR course will allow them to master the theory independently before starting theoretical classes.
Duration of the EFR course in Phuket
The course can be completed in one day, provided that you have previously mastered all the theoretical material presented in the Emergency First Response student textbook. Together with your instructor, you will create a lesson schedule that suits you.
EFR Refresher Course
After completing the Emergency First Response course, try to practice your skills from time to time. If a skill is not used and practiced regularly, it will be lost over time. The skill of performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid is lost six months after the first training.
An excellent way to practice and improve your acquired skills is to take the Emergency First Response Refresher course. As part of your refresher training, you will retake the practical portion of the Emergency First Response course and practice your skills again under the guidance of an instructor. After completing the refresher course, you will receive a new certificate.
It is recommended to take a refresher course every two years in order not to forget your skills, as well as to ensure that your certificate is always valid.
What does the EFR course provide?
After completing the EFR course in Phuket, you will receive a certificate card. Having it will allow you to enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver course, and subsequently the PADI Divemaster course.
